ABOUT:

Adrienne began studying seriously with dramatic mezzo-soprano, Amanda Siliker, during her sophomore and junior years in high school, and transitioned to baritone, Richard Crist, in her senior year.  She earned her Bachelor’s in Music Education with a concentration in voice from Mansfield University, where she studied with Doctors Youngsuk Kim, Douglas Crowder, Peggy Dettwiler, and Sheryl Monkelien, specializing in opera, art song, theatre, chamber choir, vocal jazz (group and solo), choral studies, and vocal pedagogy. Adrienne also had the honor of working with Mike Crum in the theatre department, serving as choreographer and stage manager for productions in addition to performing on stage.  Adrienne was frequently sought out for performances and choreography for shows presented by Hamilton-Gibson Productions.

Adrienne has been teaching in both public and private schools for the last 17 years.  In the South Eastern School District, she taught middle and high school choir, music technology, music history, group and solo voice training, and directed several musicals.  At Harrisburg Academy she taught middle and upper school band, middle school general music, instrumental lessons, kindergarten strings, and directed the middle and all-school musicals.  Currently in the Central Dauphin School District, Ms. Davis teaches middle school general music and choirs, and is the music director and choreographer for the Rams Junior Players musicals each winter/spring.

With over 25 years in live theater, Adrienne began performing in plays at age 14.  She has held starring roles in several school and community musical productions.  Adrienne was featured as soprano section leader and soloist at Pine Street Presbyterian.  During that time, she had the honor of being a featured soloist for Faure’s Requiem and selections from Handel’s Messiah.  Currently, Adrienne is singing with Octagon, a regionally acclaimed jazz band, pulling from all styles of jazz music including swing, blues, be-bop, rock, and Latin; their style is very much in the spirit of the West Coast jazz movement.

Adrienne has been teaching private lessons for 20+ years and is happy to have found a new home for her studio.
