Established in 1955 by renowned Founding Artistic Director Marcia Dale Weary, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB) is the nation’s preeminent school of classical ballet. CPYB provides the finest training in and performance of classical ballet to students at all levels from beginner to pre-professional.
CPYB offers beginning and preschool level classes at the Grace Milliman Pollock Performing Arts Center (TPC). Ballet classes for beginning Primary Division students are offered Monday through Friday, while pre-ballet and tap classes are offered twice a week for Preschool Division students. CPYB students enrolled at TPC have the ability to take classes at both the Camp Hill and Carlisle studio locations.
Founding Artistic Director Marcia Dale Weary’s distinctive curriculum is focused on building strong technical strength, stamina and flexibility while nurturing artistic development. Your child will learn ballet technique and the French vocabulary that defines ballet steps from an accomplished faculty, all in a fun, energetic environment. Just as important, through weekly classes your child will develop determination, focus, self-confidence and creativity – the life skills they need now and in their future.
