This class is taught by Kelly Strange and is for serious, theater-minded students ONLY.
Everyone must wear jazz shoes and comfortable clothing to move in. Participants must be comfortable with hands-on body placement corrections, when necessary. Participants must be comfortable with a variety of age differences in the class. Participants must commit to attending a minimum of 9 of the 10 classes. If interest persists, the class will continue into the fall and winter.
Students will learn the basics of jazz and theater dance including proper placement, technique and terminology. The objective is to have everyone comfortable enough to pick up and execute a basic dance combination for their school or community theater’s musical auditions.
